This homemade costume for couples entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Christine, the 'Neverending Story' costume creator:

My husband and I grew up in the 80s so we decided to create an 80s inspired costume from The Neverending Story film. Falkor was made out of a box, bucket, and paper which was covered in material. It is held up with ropes tied through the box and hidden under my husbands shirt.

I love this. My son is in a competition at school. It's a literature parade. Our school does this instead of halloween.

This is one of his favorite books. Would you be willing to sale this costume? If not could you email detailed instructions of how it is attached to your husband and some more pictures?

I can send all of my pictures I took making it if you can email me your email address. I taped a bucket onto a cardboard box then shaped the mouth, nose, and eyes with plastic bags covered in masking tape. The eyeballs are just the round half of two easter eggs painted black. I bought the furry material from Joanns and just cut and attached various pieces with a glue gun. Wasn't as difficult to make as it looks but you just have to play around with the face shape by wrinkling and layering the plastic bags.
