Mystique Costume

I am Grecia De La Gala and I am 18 years old and I am wearing and designed the costume. I wanted to have a really creative costume to show at school for senior dress up day. Therefore I decided to think out of the box and rather than buy a costume I decided to make it. I started of by buying blue spandex fabric at the store then sowed according to my body size. After that I painted each of mystiques scales one by one onto the body suit. I used navy blue acrylic paint to create the scales. It took about 3 days to create the body suit itself and another 3 days to create the individual scales. On the day I wore the costume I used blue face paint and spread it through out my face then used black face paint and small brush to create each scale. To finish off the look i slit my hair back with bobby pins and used 2 cans of red hair spray. This process took another 2 hours. I had a great time designing it and had a lot of fun.
