This homemade costume for couples entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Sarah, the 'Ms. Frizzle, the Magic School Bus, and Liz' costume creator:

My name is Sarah (Ms. Frizzle), and my boyfriend Joe (the Magic School Bus) and our cat Han Solo (Liz, Ms. Frizzle's iguana) round out the roster for our Magic School Bus group costume!
We love doing couples' costumes, and after missing Halloween last year, we wanted to do something fun and recognizable for 2020...and then COVID-19 happened. Joe had wanted to do this costume for a few years now, and with the debate over the validity of science, we thought "What better year than to celebrate the Frizz and her fantastic ride?" So we took chances, got messy, made some mistakes, and threw together our costumes!
My Ms. Frizzle outfit is pretty simple--find a cool dress and planet earrings on Amazon--but I took an extra step and embossed my boots and mask with "Believe Science" and some stars and planets! For Han's Liz outfit, we also store-bought that--he absolutely hated it! 😂
Joe's bus definitely took the most effort--we bought some sticky vinyl paper (to get the sheen of a real school bus) and wrapped it around some cardboard boxes, and he used paint markers to get all the details! I helped him decorate the sides of the bus, and he completed the "look" with a gold-sequins sports coat we used for a costume on our first Halloween together (we were the 2017 Solar Eclipse--I was the moon, he was the sun 🤓)
We hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween, and that everyone continues to be safe and wear masks moving into the colder months! We're all in this together, and we'll get through this!
