This homemade costume for couples entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Vanessa, the 'Mr. & Mrs. De Vil' costume creator:

Me and my boyfriend of one year (our anniversary was on Halloween) decided to be Mr. & Mrs. De Vil. We wanted something different from the regular couples costumes out there this year. This was creative and fun and down right sexy. The costume fully captures us as a couple, two psychos :)

The idea came from an old Dalmatian jacket I had as a kid. I saw it in my basmement (Mrs. De Vil) and thought it would be a great idea. This was not used in the costume however, it was too small!

Mrs. De Vil:
-the wig is from Aldo ($30). It was orinally all white, so I dyed half black with temporary dye. This was a bit difficult because the wig is synthetic and not human hair.
- the faux off white jacket is from Fashion Nova ($25), perfect for the look
-the fishnets are from Dollarama ($2). They are extended to underneath my shirt to get that bodysuit look
-short and crop top (pre-owned). I decided to go comfortable and not wear a dress.. plus I think the skin showing in my waist area accents my curves
-red silk gloves and black and white scarf from party city ($15)
- the look is finished with red lipstick and my “Frankenstein” boot heels for that edgy look.

Mr. De Vil:
-this is a made up character (not in the movie) that we thought would make the costume stand out.
- all clothes were pre-owned.
- half hair sprayed white with Halloween dye
-white and black converse for contrast

How the picture was taken:
- on a IPhone timer ! No one was in the room with us.. it was all set up by Mr. De Vil. (He knows how much I like my pictures)
-the iPhone was placed on a suitcase with DVDs stacked to get the right height. The phone was held up using coasters to get the angle.
-everything is white, black and red.. done on purpose for great picture quality.

No smiling allowed in these pictures ! The goal was to look mean and seductive.. like we were about to do something menacing.
