This homemade costume for men entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Lee, the 'Money Man' costume creator:

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner! I am wearing the Geico Money Man costume and won $1200.00 in prize money in three contests. I finished 1st in two and finished 2nd in another so It was great Halloween for us. We used our winning to book a 5 day cruise in January!
Back to contest, My wife came up with the idea for the costume. She dressed as Flo from Progressive. So we took old shirt I got for running a 5K many years ago, (note: try on shirt and pants before you glue on the money!) Mine was tight! I used old pair of sweat pants so if they got ruined no big deal from the glue. I checked into buying play money but it was way too much money to invest. So I just googled money pic's on line and took a sheet of 6. I took them to local printer and had them printed all together. I cut them up at the printer and made about 500 bills. Enough for repairs if you wear it to other contest or parties like we did. The Helmet was white skate board one that I painted black it came from a local Goodwill store for $1.50 (love half price days). So all together I invested around $25.00 in supplies Glue sticks, printed money, helmet from Goodwill, old clothes and about 4 hours to assemble. Use comfortable clothes so it is easy to take off and use the bathroom. Assembly was simple; hot gluing the bills on the pants and shirt individually in horizontal rows so they could be staggered as I went up to cover gaps. I glued more bills on inside of the helmet to hang down and cover my neck along with a strap of fabric which I tied around my head and chin to make a money beard. Some gloves and black riding boots for hands and feet and green paint on my face and I was ready to go.
We knew that we had a great costume when I was getting dressed in parking lot and people where taking my pictures and not even completely dressed yet! Got in to the first costume party and the security guards and staff kept tell us we love it. I felt like a movie star, I can not tell you how many people (Hot women besides my wife)and men too wanting to have the pics with me. They also kept telling me they would be mad if I did not win. When the contest finally got started
They ask four groups to come up front and one of the Judges yelled out "I LOVE THAT COSTUME!" The DJ said I am saving you for last! Another good sign! We won 1st place big cash prize. Next costume party, after I made repairs because people wanted to pull off dollar bills off of me, ( hot glue makes that hard to do) I won 2nd place. I got the same reaction as first everyone wanted to take pics with me again! The 3rd contest had the same reactions as the others many strangers wanted pictures with us. Even one sexy nurse want me to stuff dollars down her bra! I did after ok from my wife ( smart husband) We won first again and more money and trophy to boot! lol
