This homemade costume for boys entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Amy, the 'Mommy's Mummy' costume creator:
My son Kameron wanted to be a mummy this year, which shocked me because I for sure thought he would want to be a super hero or ninja turtle. I bought some fabric from Walmart and cut and ripped it to make the bandages. I soaked the bandages in tea for 5 min, rubbed some black face paint on them, and dried them to create a very old look. I had people stopping him at the two carnivals we went to, so they could get a picture of this original costume. His baby brother is in the pic and I thought if they both went as mummies I could call them Mommy's mummies :) He stayed in character the whole day
