Mermaid Costume

My daughter Teagynn wanted to be a mermaid princess this year, but every costume we tried on clung at her ankles making her trip. . we ordered a pair of sparkly leggings, matching tulle, a regular long sleeve shirt and then stocked up on cool accents like sequins beads and sea shells. With the tulle we made the fins come out from her ankles. We used sparkly craft paper to cut sea shell bra's and attached them to the shirt. With the tulle we made straps for the top and added seashells beads and gemstones as accents. We also used a plain headband,tulle and additional sea shells to create a crown. Her costume was a favorite as she made her way from house to house stocking up on candy!
