This homemade costume for women entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Edie, the 'Medusa' costume creator:

I am wearing the costume. Purchased: Marbelized Toga dress. Plastic crown, Tubular window insulation, (wire for tongues), fake snakes. Sprayed with gray and stone appearing paint. Rubber snakes will melt with paint-you must use plastic, or hard rubber to avoid this. Paint face like marble. (white, and black eye liner-creating the veins) Put onion bag on your face. Use powdered eye shadow, and dab over the bag, creating a snake texture to the face.

Hi, what material did you use to make the silver snakes? I can't seem to find the type of snakes I want for my Medusa costume, so I'm thinking about making them myself, but I can't remember the name of the material and I'm pretty sure you've used the same thing. Thanks xo
