A word from Brooke, the 'Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts' costume creator:

Hello!! My names brooke. I am the mad hatter and my friend laura is the queen of hearts. My mom actually came up with the idea for these characters so we just went with it and decided to go all out. It took us about a month to gather everything and hours of work putting it all together. For the mad hatter we went to a thrift store aNd bought a pink turtle neck, black vest, brown jacket, orange wig, pants, and the bag. The only thing i bought from a costume store was the hat(but i added the feathers, pink lace and measurements) i bought fabric and made the tie, we glued my eyebrows on, and laura cut my wig perfect and did all the makeup. It took about 2 hours to make the thread spoul sash but it was worth it. Added lace to my sleeves, and buttons to my jacket and thats how the mad hatter was made.

The queen of hearts took a little more time. She is a actually wearing 3 skirts and made her toulle that is underneath. We found the black shirt at goodwill, cut up an old shirt for the front, and pick out the added accessories to the shirt (like the red hearts, the white beads, and the sequenced circle e at the top). We cut out and glued all the hearts on the skirt and pinned them on. We got fish net sleeves and she added all the touches to it. That is her real hair. She shaped it like a heart by teasing and lots of hairspray. We sprayed it red and added the hat. She did all her makeup herself. I think thats all!! All together it probably cost us about $200 all together! please pick us!!!!!
