Lucy Westenra Costume

This costume was modeled after the gown that Lucy Westenra wears in Francis Ford Coppola's "Dracula." I had to create several patterns for this garment. The collar was made with lace, plastic boning and Elmer's glue for stiffness. The headdress is made of floral wire fed through scalloped organza situated on a satin head wrap. The gown is comprised of the base dress and has three yards of material draped behind it as a bustle and train. The sleeves are lace with pearl buttons and organza over sleeve. Under the sleeve I made fingerless gloves. It took me about three weeks to complete.
