Lord Zedd Costume

A fully handmade from head to toes costume depicted the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers villain Lord Zedd. This has been my dream costume since I was 4 years old and I alone with my team finally got to create it. The armor pieces are made of EVA foam that is handwrapped in Chrome vinyl wrap as well as backed with styrene to give extra support. Each muscle in the muscle suit are individually made out of upholstery foam that is then wrap in Foam Clay and sculpted to give that texture. The neckpiece is also made of Foam Clay that was all hand sculpted and backed with several coats of latex. The muscles portion of the shoes are made of liquid latex and cotton balls while the armor bits are EVA foam wrapped in vinyl wrap. The entire muscles suit was airbrushed and the tubing was 3/8" clear tube that we put watered down blue airbrush paint in to give it the liquid effect. The visor in the helmet is 3 different car window tints (red, chrome and black). We layered each one and attached to the helmet. The helmet is made up of EVA foam, Styrene, and Paperclay that is also wrapped in vinyl wrap. The staff is made of PVC Pipe 3/4" and 1" for the handle. EVA foam for the Z and bottom spike.

We also built a 10' X 6' Stage to set my throne on which I got made for me years ago.
This project has taken approx. 8 months and cost around $2,500.00 to create.
