Lion and her Tamer Couple Costume

The play Cats inspired me to do this plus some excess fake fur kicking around. I sewed the entire costume without a pattern (hate patterns). I prefer turning my own clothes inside out to trace. For the mane I brushed out a bunch of white Phentex and attached it with some for the cuffs. I used a hair band and hot glued the same fabric adding ears. It's my own teased hair which matched perfectly and I brushed it over the hair band to hide it. For my friend's lion tamer shirt I got this at Value Village and slit the sleeves lengthwise to add gold lame and make them puffy. A pair of black jeans, some fake skin to raise welts and fake blood and voila! Unfortunately you don't see his whip made with electrical tape and shoelaces, nor the back of his shirt that has " The Great Marcello" (his name was Marcel) in glitter glue!
