This homemade costume for groups entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Erin, the 'KISS' costume creator:
Pictured left to right: Ron Ruppenthal, Ben Engwall, Heather Engwall, Erin Ruppenthal. Together, we decide it would be fun to go to our annual Halloween party as KISS. The agreement was all costumes had to be homemade, and had to be awesome. Basically go big, or go home. Shoes were built stacking, nailing, and sanding multiple 2x4's and covered in duct tape. Costumes were built using hockey pads, styrofoam cones, repurposed leather jackets, studs, hand-sewn vests, "boot extenders" wings, pool noodles, and a lot of spray paint and duct tape. We paid our babysitter extra to come two hours early and apply full KISS makeup.
