King Julian Costume

King Julian! The lemur king from Madagascar the Disney movie. Crafted and worn by myself. Body suit is made of faux luxury shag fur created with a homemade body pattern of myself. Hand paws are crafted from the same faux fur and fleece for the palms to help provide a better grip. The feet were made on toms brand shoes from fleece and faux fur. The tail is faux fur stuffed with polyfil and attached through a belt loop on the body. The head is built on a balaclava (ski mask) and shaped with carved upholstery foam. Faux fur is then glue over the the foam and detail is added. Teeth are hand sculpted. Eyes are hand carved from plastic. Iris is painted window screen for excellent vision. Overall the items used are faux fur, upholstery foam, shoes/slippers, hot glue, a ski mask, and tons of thread and patterns.
