Hercules and Meg Costume

🎃 Halloween is my favorite holiday and every year I hand make our costumes from items I purchase at Goodwill. I originally bought the purple dress for a photoshoot, but then decided to turn into into Meg’s dress by adding some darker purple fabric sashes. The Meg wig is actually two separate wigs- one from Goodwill, and one I already owned that I combined with a lot of styling effort 😅

Hercules was quite the transformation. He originally started out as a woman’s skirt suit 😂. I turned the jacket backwards, modified the neckline, removed the sleeves, and added Velcro in the back. For the skirt I had to add some darker brown panels to make it big enough to fit him and hem it a bit shorter. His cape is made out of a graduation gown. The gold medallions are made out of craft foam and the chest detail is yarn that I spray painted gold.
