Headless Horseman Costume

My 5 yr old Tyler, decided he wanted to be the Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow. He already had the cape so I bought a black cotton long sleeve shirt 2 sizes to big and black see threw fabric. Which costed me $6.00. I took quilting fabric and a flat topped, round hat and wrapped the fabric over the hat so it was white. I rolled up another price of quilting fabric and tacked it around the bottom of the hat for shoulders. I then put the black shirt over the hat and pulled hat threw to look like neck. I cut a square out in the shirt for my son to see and put the black see through fabric over it . I pleated the fabric so it gave it that old timey look. Then I made a vest and tacked it onto the shirt and placed the cape on. Then I put zombie blood , I bought for 1.00 on the top so it gave it the look of a bloody neck. I had everything I needed at home but the shirt, see through fabric and Zombie Blood. Total cost to make this costume was $7.00. Plus I bought the accessories at walmart light up pumpkin was $4.99 and sword was $2.00 ... Giving the final total of $13.99
