A word from Kandis, the 'Headless Guy' costume creator:
My 10 - year - old son, Logan is wearing the costume. He wanted to be a zombie soldier or just something to do with being a soldier or being dead. I thought making him headless would be different and a lot more fun than just covering him with blood so we looked up some headless ideas on Pinterest and Google. We didnt use instructions, just kept building and arranging until it looked right. We used his dad's backpack frame and tied it up high on his chest. We wrapped and tied an old sheet to top and used a popcorn bowl with ACE bandage around it for the neck and shoulders. His dad's old hunting coat with a sheet stuffed in the arms and gloves sewn to the neck and middle of coat make up the body. We had to stuff a beach towel under the pack frame straps over Logans shoulders to hold it up. His brother's Army pants are zip tied to pack frame. The only money spent was less than $3.00 for white and red makeup. Baby powder and gel is in his hair. He wore this to school without makeup and went trick or treating in our town on Halloween night. It was heavy and hot to lug around but he LOVED the costume and countless people told him it was the best costume ever! Even stopping him to take pictures of him. He stayed in character most of the time, of course breakibg to say trick or treat and thank you but he used this creepy low voice. He turned a lot of heads and little kids did a lot of staring, some turned away or ran to their parents.
