This homemade costume for girls entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Carly, the 'Groot' costume creator:
My daughter decided she wanted to be Groot from "Guardians of the Galaxy" this year. I used recycled cardboard for the bulk of the costume, and recycled packing paper for the vines. Slap on some acrylic paint and a little moss and glue it to camo pants and shirt. The entire costume cost less than $10. She absolutely loved it!
