Groot Costume

After my daughter asked me to make Groot for her for halloween I had to watch both gaurdians of the galaxy movies to figure it out. The costume was scratch built by me in about 30 hours over a period of 3 weeks. It was relatively inexpensive coming in at just over 100$. The costume was built using foam pipe insulation glued over work coveralls. A bit of foam for the bark areas and foam for Groots head. I painted the entire thing with matte black and brown spray paint and highlighted with brushed on acrylics. Sprinkled a bit of diorama moss here and there for effect.
