This homemade costume for girls entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest,
A word from Colleen, the 'Giraffe' costume creator:
My 10-year-old daughter Emily is wearing this giraffe costume that I made for her. It is made from recycled cardboard assembled with hot glue and covered in yellow and brown felt. I cut up the cardboard in strips to piece together for the head, and scored and rolled larger pieces for the neck and back. Almost all of the materials came from my craft supplies and the recycle bin, so there was very little cost to make it.
