Garden Snail Costume

My son, Felix (age 23 months) is dressed in a homemade garden snail costume. I made the snail shell by sewing a long cone out of fabric, rolling it up, and then hand stitching it in place. Felix wears the shell like a backpack with elastic straps. The suit he is wearing is a one-piece body suit I designed and sewed out of faux suede. The ears are lined with wire and kept in place with a firm headband that is hand stitched into the hood. Since this costume was made almost entirely out of materials I had on hand, it cost almost nothing.
