A word from Tim, the 'Zoltar Fortune Teller' costume creator:

Hi this is Tim, I had seen a Zoltar costumes, I went for the do it yourself, the day of the party design, and combined a few ideas seen online. So Impromptu in 4 hours and $80.00 something dollars. I came up with this.
I wanted interaction and gave readings to people so I decided not to have plexiglass. Great fun had by all.

I had a box behinds slot so people could put donations in and get a reading or a magic trick.

I had all the clothing and robes and jewels already.
Turban from pillow case with plastic jewels super glued on.

  • 6 1/2 inch pvc pipes
  • 4 1/2 pvc coupling
  • 4 1/2 inch elbows
  • 12 1/2 site outlet elbows
  • Black spray paint to make card board designs

Zoltar printout for sign

small moving box
large moving box
blue shower curtain Had in closet
red window curtain bought at Wal----t. $5
red curtain purchased same place. $10

Gorilla black duct tape

Bottom frame has 4 outlet elbows and 4 pvc lengths
4 4-5foot lengths going up into 4 couplings then 4 lengths as highs as you want into top frame same as bottom.
middle frame has 4 outlet elbows and 4 pieces that match box dimensions with 4 lengths of about a 1 1/2 foot for support inside bottom frame.

I cut a 3 layer card board shelf, and duct taped shelf for reinforcement.

Top and bottom frames cut to match large box dimensions.

I cut boxes and turned them inside out and re taped both sides for strength.
