Forrest Gump and Lt. Dan Costume

We purchased the clothing at a thrift shop except for Forrest's hat and shoes. I found those online. For Lt Dan, I cut holes in the back of the pants just below the knee. When I put the pants on, I guided my feet through the holes so that the rest of the pants were left dangling in front of my legs. I tied them in knots at the knee so that when I sat on my knees in the chair, it looked like there were no legs. I put an American flag over the back of the chair to cover my feet. I did have to stand a lot to keep my feet from falling asleep.
