This homemade costume for families entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest, and won 3rd place in the Best Family Costume nomination!

A word from Tenisha, the 'Food Court Family' costume creator:

My husband and I along with our four kids were Fast Food Mascots this year and called ourselves the Food Court. Caesar, Jack in the Box, Wendy, Ronald McDonald, The Colonel Sanders, and the CFA Cow. The costume execution was beyond easy (and cheap!). The cow costume was given to us and the initial inspiration. I hand drew the "EAT MOR CHIKIN" sign on poster board. Both Wendy and Ronald striped pants and shirts were cheap white tights and shirts (from thrift store- $6) with added skinny red Duct Tape ($3), and the dresses were already owned. The McDonalds logo was also handmade using the same red duct tape and construction paper. Her "shoes" are red socks ($1) stuffed with cotton that we already had. Wendy's hair has a wired hanger in it to make it stick out. Sanders outfit was thrift store bought ($5) and a black tie using fabric we owned and yes, more duct tape. His glasses were $3 sunglasses from Wal-mart with the lenses removed. Red and white hair color ($4) and white face paint ($1) completed the look for the kids. Caesar outfit is make from fleece (already owned) and black duct tape for design. No sewing, just safety pined on. Stick was from outside, and pizza was made from cardboard, white poster board torn into pieces, and red construction pieces for pepperoni. Jack's face was made from white poster board and construction paper ($2) and the suit was already owned. The kids' tricker treat bags were from the Fast Food restaurants (bucket from KFC, Happy Meal box from McDs, and plastic bag from Wendy's). We spent roughly $25 for our family of six.
