Flower Cow Costume

My 9 yr old daughter Bella is wearing the costume. The idea came from her wanting to be a cow for Halloween. We bought the set with the horns, tail and a bow. We paid around $7. for the set. We couldn't find a costume to fit her, so I bought 2 yds of cow print fabric for around $17. I used one of her t shirts for a pattern to make the shirt. I opened the back and put snaps on it to fasten it. I cut a circle out of an old baby blanket to make the utter I sewed on the front of the shirt. I made a skirt and left it open in the front. I tucked the shirt in so the utter could be seen in the opening of the skirt. We added black tights and black shorts. For the arm bands I used a pair of old socks. I cut the toes out of them then I sewed them to fit her arm. I cut a hole in both for her thumbs. I took a black marker and drew black spots. We bought a flower headband that she wanted to wear in front of her horns. We paid around $5. for that. She put it all on and she's the prettiest cow I have ever seen.
