Fandango Costume

Year after year I have made my halloween costumes but Fandango seems to get the smiles from everyone. I am wearing the costume and enjoying every minute. Got the idea from going to the movies and seeing the cute Fandango advertisement with the hand puppets singing and dancing. Of course when you wear this costume, you have to dance around like the puppets do! So to make it more interesting, I made my puppet from Piggly Wiggly grocery bags....cut and taped together for the form..then used a roll of brown wrapping paper and used over the outside to give it a smooth finish. I used a coat hanger at the top (using zip ties) to connect the purple scarf and black trash bag which I cut in strips for the hair. The hair is long in the back. Then cut material for the bikini, felt for the lips, teeth and eyes and used spray adhesive to connnect. The bikini top is 2 plastic bowls, holes drilled in the edges and connected with zip ties then used a boa to cover each bowl. Fandango is held up by me wearing a back pack and then made a frame out of 1/2 inch pvc pipe and put into the back pack and connected with zip ties. U just lean over, slide Fandango over the pole and stand up. Fandango stand about 8 feet tall when I am wearing the costume and folds nicely in half to carry to parties.
