A word from Jenn, the 'Falkor' costume creator:

This is my costume this year. I was trying to think of something that hasn't been over done n that's where the movie The Neverending Story came into my head. if you were an 80s kid you watched it every weekend. I hand made 90 percent of it. I started with a white skirt, a baby blanket, fishnet gloves, a scarf, a wig and a little sweater that I found at the salvation army. a bunch of bags of bulk remnant end yarn from Joanne fabrics. I made the mask and wig myself. I bought an Alice in wonderland wig and added doll hair to it. sewing on doll hair is a pain I suggest stitching it to bias tape first and then stitching that to your costume. The mask is liquid latex, shredded yarn bits and a dog. nose I found at oriental trading. cost ran me about 100 bucks to make from head to toe. I used a tube like scarf and cut it into my leg warmers and made my neck cowl with it. added yarn to the leg warmers and the gloves to put the whole thing together. I completed the look with a Barbie doll sized atrayu riding on my back

This came out beautifully your costumes always look the best. You should look into doing costume design or something similar if you aren't already doing it.
