A word from Amelia, the 'Fake News' costume creator:

I decided on a Fake News costume this year. I didn't want to get too political, but I wanted to make light of it, in the current climate. I tried to include a bit of everything! Politics, celebrity gossip, fake health and beauty tips, and even made up some about my friends and coworkers. I wrote one about me having an affair with Johnny Depp. Or is that one real??

Materials:
Black skirt from Goodwill- $7
Printer, paper and ink-$30 if you already have printer
Super glue or hot glue gun (I used both)- $20
Dispair when you pull your beloved costume over your butt and it rips- priceless

I was wondering did you buy a leather skirt to have the items stay on better? Also I saw that you had mentioned the glue gun. How long did it take to dry? The Halloween party is next weekend.
Thanks

I bought a black skirt, it wasn't leather, just cloth material and very cheap. If I were to do it over, I probably would have bought one with less surface area.

As far as the hot glue gun goes, it dries almost immediately! There is also clothing glue that might work better. My pictures started falling off a little bit, but I was also wearing it at work.

Good luck!!
