This homemade costume for adults entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Matthew, the 'Extraterrestrial' costume creator:
When deciding to base my 2020 costume on an "alien" theme, I chose to go in a different direction than the stereotypical green creature. To create the costume, I began with a full-body "morphsuit", covered it with crushed velvet fabric to create a skin texture, painted textural elements with blacklight-reactive paint and draped my upper body with blacklight-reactive rope. I created the hair/antennas out of the same rope and then constructed a cape/cloak out of iridescent organza. I then painted my face with blacklight makeup in order to complete the look.
