Evil Jack in a Box Costume

This is my costume I made for myself for Halloween 2020. I usually make a couples costume for my husband and I to wear but I wanted to tone it down a bit for covid times since a lot of the big contests in town at bars were canceled. I knew that I wanted to be something scary this year since this year is a nightmare. I saw this movie called “the jack in a box” and knew I had to be something like that. I found my polka dot skirt, dancing shoes, and bow tie at a goodwill. I had the suspenders, nylons, garters, and red tank top. I purchased the coat online. I added a prop knife and jester hat to complete my costume. The box was constructed from a medium size shipping box from Walmart. I cut the flaps off except the back. I wrapped the inside and outside in red and white paper from the dollar tree. Next I created diamond stencils cut them all out from poster board and glued it to the box. I added Jack in a Box to the front with stencils and glue. I then added gems and red Christmas lights to the box. I added a paint roller crank with a painted Styrofoam ball for a handle and fake blood to complete the box. My makeup is gems and face paint, fake blood, and liquid latex to look like a burned eye on my face. I really scared everyone wearing this unique costume! People were taking my photo all night long in this innovative costume.
