Elvis Costume

My 14 year old Wire Haired Dachshund "Levi" is wearing the costume!! My niece Angie and I decided to use Elvis as we both love his songs, especially "He ain't nothin but a hound dog!!" We both have dachshunds and no children, so are dogs are our special fur kids. Levi was adopted from the Nebraska dachshund rescue when he was 5 years old! He has the most cutest and curious personality you would ever want to know! He is definitely a "mommas boy" just like his name tag says!! His costume was made from child "onesies" outfits. We glued 2 onesies together at the ends, using the arms for legs. The legs were then cut or flared and a piece of red felt was used to flare out the legs. ( Just like the same outfit Elvis wore!"). The collar was cut from felt along with the Elvis belt! Then the fun part of glueing several beads, shiny sequence, and stars for the bling!! Instead of a belt buckle, a paw print made of felt was used. Levi thoroughly enjoys being dressed up and is ready to go "shake a leg!!" with his little guitar!!!
