Edward Scissorhands Costume

Construction started on this costume in early September and wasn’t completed until Halloween day. All of the belts are straight from goodwill, 90% of the hardware is hand sculpted resin, and the leathery fabric is repurposed from an old white nuns outfit that I painted to appear as different depths and textures.
The hands took the most time, almost a month on their own! Black leather gloves also from goodwill started the foundation, and the rest is a combination of popsicle sticks, hot glue, resin, sculpting resin, and a few pieces of real metal trinkets and detailing. Only one single scissor handle came from real scissors, the rest are all hand sculpted. The boots are repurposed creepers that I covered with scrap fabric from the nun costume that’s also painted and decorated with different textures, belts, and hardware. The wig is a tight curled black wig from eBay that I styled accordingly with Aussie instant freeze, a straightener, a teasing comb, and lots of lots of various razors and scissors.

This costume took just over two whole moths to build and I’m so beyond proud of it. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do! :)
