Demogorgon - Stranger Things Costume

This costume is a Demogorgon from the Netflix series, "Stranger Things." I've never dressed up in a "scary" halloween costume before, and I decided this year was as good a time as any to try one out! All components were handmade. I used acrylic paint to create the skeletal look on the shirt. For the headdress, I used wire coat hangers bent into petal shapes. Then I stretched red cellophane over the forms, finished with a sheer black pantyhose over each petal, and used a combination of spray and acrylic paints to add dimension. I sewed an elastic head band, and glued the petals to that elastic. The teeth are made from model magic, as are the fingers and the elbow spikes, which I painted and hot glued to the gloves and the shirt. After that, it was just a matter of applying the face paint. The whole creation process took me about 8 hours over the course of a few weeks to complete. Hope y'all enjoy!
