Day of the Dead Costume

These little sugar skulls are my two sisters and brother. All three of them enjoy sugar skulls and anything "Day of the Dead". This year they wanted to use that theme for their Halloween costumes. Most of what we used, we had at our house. My youngest sister borrowed big sisters dress (it took a few safety pins) and glued roses to a headband, the older sister wore my old pageant dress layered with a black cardigan and a few bright flowers glued to barrettes. My brother found an old black turtle neck, black slacks, skeleton gloves from last Halloween and a black top hat from an old dance costume. We watched a YouTube tutorial to learn how to apply makeup and we are now all set for this Halloween! We were so proud of our creations, we had to go snap a few creepy photos. The cost was less than $15 total, because most pieces were recycled. The most expensive part was the makeup and flowers.
