A word from Carrie, the 'Cousin Itt and Uncle Fester' costume creator:

Norman is Uncle Fester with Thing from the Addams Family.
Norm shaved his head, used face makeup grey and black. Thing is a severed hand pinned to his shoudler. A "magic Light Bulb" adds the Uncle Fester Electricity ( $10 at a magic/gag shop), Monks Robe cost $25, "Thing" $ 5.00. make-up $5.00

Carrie is Cousin It from the Addams Family. A black hat was purchased ($10) and 2 LARGE balls of brown yarn (~$10 each), Sunglasses - had already $0, A brown Monk's robe was also purchaesd ($25) to go underneath in case the yarn moved while you walked. Yarn was cut into stips approx the same height as the wearer. Each strand was placed in a row on duct tape or packing tape, in ~6-12 inch strips. Once each strip was full, a top layer of tape was applied to the yarn to prevent yarn loss. Each finished strip of Cousin It "fur" was then sewn into the inner liner of the hat. (This can also be stapled or glued) 3 to 4 layers thick of finished strips were sewn into this hat. Once sewn into the hat, have wearer put on costume, and have someone trim bottom of yarn so it is more uniform and above your feet, so you don't trip! A light spray of hair spray also helps the "fur" to stay in place.

Did you attach the yarn to the inside of the hat, or around the inside?

Is the hair good enough for Samyang or Nongshim quality?
