A word from Victoria, the 'Cotton Candy' costume creator:

My daughter loves cotton candy so I took her love for the sweet treat and turned it into a even sweeter costume! This costume was exciting to make and brought her a lot of attention. It took 3 days to complete everything. If anyone is interested in making this costume or needs tips about it, feel free to email me at [email protected]. The body of her costume was made with a old vneck tshirt of mine and then I added pillowstuffing that I had spray painted pink onto the old tshirt using adhesive spray/ hot glue. The adhesive spray works wonders but if you can stand the smell go with hot glue. Once you fill the whole shirt with the stuffing fluff it out using your fingers and you can also add more polyfill stuffing to the costume if you want it fluffier. Underneath she wore a long sleeve white tshirt and pink tights that I purchased from Walmart. Her shoes were white basic shoes I found at Walmart that I spray painted pink and then spray painted the laces a cotton candy Aqua blue. Her wig is made out of a clown wig that I purchased at Walmart that I cut all the hair off of only leaving the cap of the wig left I replaced the hair with more polyfill stuffing that I spray painted Aqua blue. Her cone on her wig was made out of poster board which made her wig top heavy so I would suggest using paper that you can make into a cone shape then hot gluing it to your wig so it doesn't fall off or even a white snow cone cup. Too jazz up her cone we added pink fabric ribbon that I hot glued onto the cone. And the very last thing I made was her candy holder that we made out of poster board. I made a hole punch on each side of the cone and added ribbon and spray painted it and dressed it up with a cotton candy sticker! She even passed out cotton candy to others as well.

Materials used:

White long sleeve shirt
Pink hose
White tennis shoes
2 bags of polyfill pillowstuffing
3-4 candy of pink spray paint
1 can of Aqua blue spray paint
2 pieces of poster board
Body glitter and pink blush for face
1 sweet child
