This homemade costume for women entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Athena, the 'Corpse Bride' costume creator:
I am wearing the Corpse Bride costume. I have loved the Tim Burton movie since it first came out in 2005. My costume was a complete DIY experience. I searched thrift stores for the wedding gown and was lucky to find it second hand. I sewed the pearls on by hand, dyed the edge of it blue, soaked the veil and lace gloves in tea leaves for that antique effect. I hand cut holes into my veil and gloves as well to give it that "I just came out of the ground" look.
My make-up took 3 hours but was well worth it!
