This homemade costume for girls entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.

My grandfather was a coal miner ( He is Loretta Lynn's Father's brother)
My mom grew up in a coal mining town and I was telling my kids how hard life was for them'.
I decided to honor my grandparents by making a coalminer costume.
The overalls are from a denim fabric. The hat was a yellow toy helmet that i painted and glued a working light from the dollar store onto.
