A word from Cheryl, the 'Circus Freak Show Family' costume creator:

Circus freak show this is another hand made costumes from the Mowery family. My son we bought him a leotard and we had to buy skin colored material from Joannes fabrics and we added fluff into it after we made it into like a flesh colored body leotard then we bought two rubber balls and a big dowel glued them together and spray painted them black for his weights. My daughter Chloe is the tight rope walker she is wearing a pink leotard with lace sound to it and pink material and in Disney umbrella we got from Walmart spray paint it black and then added black lace to it to decorate it so it looks prettier. Cheyenne the Gypsy or fortuneteller is wearing a tutu a skirt that we got from Goodwill over the skirt we sewed a different material that we got from Joannes and then we finished it off with a handmade scarf that we got from the old English fair that has coin sewed on the ends. Then we bought a shirt from spirit Halloween for her and made a scarf out of some of the material. My husband was the bearded lady he wore a dress from Goodwell shoes from Goodwill and a wig and beard that we purchased and I did his gorgeous make up . I was the ringmaster and I wore a top hat purchase from spirit Halloween black leggings from Walmart a jacket that was handmade by my mother with a jacket pattern and a white button down shirt from Kmart also boots from Walmart and a bowtie . My daughters fortune ball was made from a plastic ball that had a lid on it like a jar we glued lights in it and put blue dye with water and glitter in it and then attach the lead in the switch was on the side of a little box that we taped with black electrical tape when you flip the switch it will glow. These costumes cost about $350 roughly.
