Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin Costume

My three dogs are dressed as the characters from the popular tv special, "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!". Caiden, is dressed as Linus; Callie is dressed as Lucy and Caillou, is dressed as the one and only, snoopy (or really, the great pumpkin)!. What inspired me to created these totally hand-made costumes is my love for the show! It's a classic, and so are these costumes!

I made the Linus costume by finding a very small red t-shirt and black infant pants. I cut the pants and sewed them to costume fit the dog. I did the same for the shirt and added black stripes with shirt paint. I then attached a small blanket that I had to give him the true Linus look! I made the Lucy costume completely by hand. I used a pattern that I had to make the dog's dress and then added the dots and bows. I also bought a blonde dog wig, cut it and then used glue to get the "spiky" look that Lucy has in the show. Lastly, I made the snoopy costume totally by hand too. I found a pattern for an aviator hat and then added the glasses (out of felt) and took a piece of red fabric to make a scarf. I then made a sign out of hard plastic card board and attached a stick to the back.
