This homemade costume for girls entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Neha, the 'Carried in a Backpack' costume creator:
This is an illusion costume where it looks like I am being carried by an old man in his backpack. My mom and I love to make illusion costumes (See: Kidnapped, Frankenstein's Bounty, Cut in Half). We make our costumes using old clothes and the same mask. For this costume, we used old clothes, an old backpack and the creepy old man mask. We created a dummy old man using stuffing and made a large hole in the back of the shirt. We cut a hole in the backside of the backpack and put it on the dummy. I slipped inside the dummy facing backwards and got my head out through the zipper on the backpack.
It took us about 2 hours to get it right and we did not spend any money making it. It looks creepy especially when I walk around.
