Candy Land Costume

My daughter wanted to be the Candy Land Board Game for Halloween. We had a lot of fun working together to make it! We bought the games, old design and new, from thrift shops. Used the cards to make the skirt, cut up the board to give it a 3-D look, and pieced it on cardboard for extra support. We used the game pieces on the headband, as well as the spinner. My daughter made the glasses chain herself to add more color, and we made big candy lollipops to decorate the edges, and giant wrapped candy out of styrofoam for bracelets. We added rainbow everywhere else for a magical feel, the leggings, arm bands, wig, even light-up rainbow shoelaces! It all cost under $50 to put together and she loved wearing it!
