Ant Man Handmade: full length
|Costume type:||Costumes for Boys|
This homemade costume for boys entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Shannon, the 'Ant Man' costume creator:
Hunter, age 8, is wearing an Ant Man Costume that he made by himself. He created it approximately 75% entirely on his own, using recycled cardboard, plastic, and other pieces he found around the house. We (his parents) helped him with spray paint and some of the hot glue gun work, and we took him to Good Will to find the all black pants and jacket that he painted on. We cut out one piece of the mask - he cut out everything else. Using no templates or guides. He watched a tutorial online on some adults who made a costume, and decided to do it himself! I didn't believe he could until he started cutting things out and bringing them to me, so I said "let's do it!". In the end it was quite the success and he had so much fun. He of course really wanted us to enter it in a costume contest. :)
