Ahh Real Monsters! Costume

These are my children wearing costumes that I made for them. We have the Ahh Real Monsters show on DVD and the boys (2 oldest) LOVE it. My 4 year old asked to be krumm, so I followed suit. Krumm was made out of a sheet and old T-shirt. I made new sleeves out of the sheet, sewed them onto the arms of an old shirt, sewed the bottom of the costume to the bottom of the shirt and folded it up and it velcro’s At the shoulders. I stuffed batting in between the shirt and costume as well to give it the “fat” look. (He had pushed the stuffing to the sides because he was sitting down before I took this pic. The rest of it is felt and hot glue. Also the eyeballs are hot glued into the palms of a pair of gloves so he isn’t having to hold the eyeballs all night. Oblina’s Eyes are on wire hangars that I cut as well as ickis’ ears. All of the eyeballs were made out of styrofoam balls that I sharpied different colors onto. All of the supplies for all 3 costumes probably equaled up to about $25. Pretty simple and the kids LOVED them!
