A word from Jessica, the 'Willy Wonka' costume creator:
I am wearing this costume. It is one of my favorite movies, Jonny is one of my favorite actors. Perhaps my costume is simple, but it's all about details...
I bought an electrical casing tubing that was 10 feet long, and sawed it in half. Then I duck taped the bottom so I could fill it up. Then I asked for sprinkle donations from neighbors and family, although I bought a fair amount too. Then I bought an ornament from a craft store, the kind that can't break that you are supposed to paint on. Then I bought the crayola fast dry clay and decorated the top of my cane. Then I used gorilla glue to glue it to the top. I bought a top hat, black and red ribbon. Then I bought dimensional fabric paint that is black to make the detail on the hat. I stapled the ribbons together and slid them over the hat. I bought a vest and an old paisley shirt I got from Deseret industries. I rummaged through my moms closet and found the perfect red jacket. I bought a cheap necklace from Walmart and safety pinned it to my best. I bought some gold
Foil to make the w over my neck. I bought white powder for my face. Then I wore some black pants. I bought the glasses from Amazon. The end. We take Halloween very seriously over here... I would love to win something for my efforts! I am in the far right/ the new willy.
