Photo #1 - Final Costume at our town's trick or treat event. Photo #2 - Some modeling for the local Toyota dealership’s annual costume contest. Photo #3 - The process started by building a paper model head and shoulders the size of my daughter. Photo #4 - After adding several layers of paper machine, we were able to start adding features like the nose and horns. Photo #5 - Next came the process of finding material that could be used to sew scales together. About 100 scales had to be hand made to cover the outside of the costume. Photo #6 - We found these claws at Target. They were “Jurassic World” Raptor claws. With a little bit of paint we were able to make these match the material. Photo #7 - Final painted head. We used some of the same material we used for the scales and glued them on the outside of the head to make all of the scale match. Clay was used for the teeth, spikes and nostrils. Photo #8 - Sewed up a tail to be mounted to her back. Photo #9 - The tail was mounted to a backpack that was painted to match the rest of the Dragon.
