This homemade costume for women entered our 2018 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Cristina, the 'Voodoo Doll' costume creator:

This is my Voodoo Doll costume were I have ripped off my "face" and now use it as an accessory. The costume is mostly handmade, I used an old maid costume attached the Voodoo pins and needles in the dress as well as in my heart made from foam and stitched together with twine. I added some extra twine stitches on a few different areas of the dress as well as some drawn on stitches. The pants I did basically the same as the dress, added the pins and stitches along with some "blood". My "face" is completely hand made from liquid latex and tissue paper. Once I had the face base mask made I added some makeup to give it more of a real skin look and some twine stitches around the mouth and eyes of the mask. Next I took some of the handmade pins, made from wooden skewers and the balls from fake plant decor, and placed them thru the mask to make it seem like I had been stuck in the face. Then lastly I added more blood. For my actual body makeup I used a couple of the pins, liquid latex, blood, and nude makeup to give the look of the pins being stuck in my hand and chest. For my actual face I used more liquid latex around the perimeter of my face, eyes, and mouth to give the depth look of my face being ripped off. I used a couple different shades of red makeup and along with 2 types of fake blood to help give the bloody muscle look. I used regular eyeshadow and mascara for my eye makeup because it's supposed to look like that skin along with my mouth skin is still attached to my face.
