A word from Maricella, the 'Vending Machines & Candy' costume creator:
My husband is 1 of the vending machines & my son is the other vending machine. Those costumes are made of boxes, spray paint, slinkies & tape. My daughter is old fashioned candy dots, made with 2 poster boards and styrofoam balls cut in 1/2 hand painted with paint. My youngest daughter is a tootsie roll pop, made out of 2 cardboard circles wrapped with red fabric and tied and her waist with ribbon. She wore white pants to represent "the stick" of the lollipop. I was a box of dots, made out of a huge box wrapped with yellow butcher paper and holes cut for my head and my arms. All of the candy logos were scanned & blown up at a printing shop in the town we reside in. I thought of this idea because every year my family dresses up together and when I was a little girl, these used to be my 3 favorite candies.
