A word from Heather, the 'Ursula' costume creator:
Each year my daughter picks a different villain that she would like to be for Halloween and I make her costume. This year she challenged me with Ursula. The base of her costume is a petticoat. I sewed wire into the tentacles so they would keep their shape and I sewed those to the bottom of the petticoat. Even after stuffing them with the lightest material I could find the tentacle skirt was still too heavy to be held up with the drawstring, so I ended up sewing on suspenders. The top is a combination of a light purple leotard and a homemade black top with a sweetheart neckline. I purchased a white wig and styled it the best I could. Overall this costume was comfortable and easier to move around in than it looks. My daughter loved it!
