A word from Brenna, the 'Tim Burton's Corpse Bride' costume creator:
My mom and I always like to collaborate on detailed costumes every year for Halloween, and this year we decided it was time to tackle the main character from one of my favorite Halloween movies - Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride." This costume took an incredible amount of time to finish. We purchased a wedding dress on eBay and then dyed it, sprayed it, and cut it to make it look like an old, decaying dress. We created her flower bouquet by hand and sprayed the flowers to make them look dead. We also created her entire floral headpiece and veil by hand - again spraying and dying and cutting holes into it for the "dead and buried" look. We also purchased two finger gloves and the dyed/sprayed/frayed them to match the dress. I finished my look with lots and lots of blue makeup and careful application of decaying spots, along with the Corpse Bride's signature eyebrows and lip pout. I LOVED wearing this costume!!
